The Los Angeles Dodgers being a top team in the majors is no surprise, to say the least. But the St. Louis Cardinals?! Currently sitting at 36-28, the Cardinals are definitely defying expectations.
You’d assume this must be because Nolan Arenado has gone back to his All-Star, MVP-contender form. But that isn’t the case – the 34-year-old is arguably having the worst season of his career. But that is about to change tomorrow, at least for one day.
That’s because Clayton Kershaw is pitching for the Dodgers. Normally, that is bad news for everyone, but not for Arenado, who has a career slash of .297/.325/.554 against the all-time great.
With Kershaw having a poor year, trying to battle back from injury, and Arenado’s track record against him, I’m taking the third baseman’s total bases prop of over 1.5 for my prop play for Sunday.
