Two Prop Bets for NBA Finals Game 2 4s4t4r
Indiana Pacers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder 6j85g
Tipoff – June 8th, 8:00 pm EST
Paycom Center – Oklahoma City, OK
Broadcast – ABC
Early in game one, we saw the Thunder all over the floor defensively. In the first half alone, they picked up 12 steals. The vast majority of those game in the second quarter, where they nabbed eight es away from the Pacers offense. The Pacers settled in late and avoided some of those mistakes and that was a huge part of that comeback.
However, just because the Pacers looked good late protecting the ball doesn’t mean I’m not expecting that Thunder defense to get going again. If it’s going to do just that, a big part of it will be Luguentz Dort.
Dort picked off a pair of es in the first quarter and then did the exact same in the second quarter. However, despite having multiple steals in two separate quarters, the books have the under juiced here. So while I don’t expect him to come away with four again, getting half of that seems well within his grasp.
Prop Bet #1: Luguentz Dort Over 1.5 Steals (+135)
After losing the game in the literal final second of the game, the Thunder are going to be pressing a bit early in Game 2. As a result, I expect this game to be a touch higher in of scoring. If that’s true, the biggest part of it will be Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
The books have his scoring number set at 34.5 for Sunday. In his last three games, he’s been over that twice and only missed by a half of a point in the third. So while he’s well under that from a playoff average outlook, in the bigger moments, he’s truned it on for big games. That is, afterall, what an MVP does.
I’ll bank on a big scoring day for Shai and I wouldn’t hate laddering this number up into the 40s.
Prop Bet #2: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 34.5 Points (-110)
