UFC Fight Night: Usman vs Buckley (aka UFC Atlanta) f1010
Main Card Start Time: 10:00 PM EST – (ESPN)
Former UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman should not be fighting any longer. Three years removed from the end of his championship run, he’s dropped three straight fights and hasn’t won since November 2021. And he hasn’t fought since October 2023. Plus, his body is shot.
So he’s being fed to up-and-comer Joaquin Buckley this weekend, which is what the UFC should do with aging legends who still want to fight. Buckey is seven years younger, an explosive athlete and knockout artist, but also is a very capable wrestler and grappler. He’s also won six straight fights and last tasted defeat in December 2022.
This is a glue factory fight.
