It’s going to be a quiet day tomorrow on the hardwood, with the NBA Finals off until Wednesday, and only one game on the WNBA schedule. But I’ve got your winner for that one, as I’m starting to dial in my WNBA picks as I acquire more numbers to crunch for this season. Here are your WNBA predictions and preview for Monday, June 9th.

Golden State Valkyries vs Los Angeles Sparks 5u6d2t

Start Time – 10:00 PM EST

It was thought heading into this season that the WNBA’s newest franchise, the Golden State Valkyries, wouldn’t be as bad as you’d expect a new team to be. And it’s mission accomplished in that regard, as they currently are sitting at 3-5, right in the middle of the league’s standings.

With all that being said, no one foresaw the Valkyries beating the Las Vegas Aces by 27 points this season like they did in their last game. Golden State will look to take the momentum from that gargantuan win on the road with them as they visit the Sparks in Los Angeles tomorrow night.

The Sparks are not good at home, only winning once in five tries (they aren’t good anywhere, actually, with a 3-6 overall record). My line for this game is only Los Angeles -0.5, so the Valkyries on the spread is the best bet for tomorrow.
